1:1 Coaching Journey - At Home Within

In short:

At Home Within is a 6-week writing journey towards more self-knowledge, trust, and expression - for those who long for a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them!

Through weekly 1:1 online sessions and (writing) assignments you’ll receive afterwards, you’ll gradually learn to know yourself better, to trust yourself more deeply, to take care of yourself and to express who you are!

I work with a structure throughout the program, but it’s always tailored to your needs and process. The focus is on writing, but there’s also space for other creative forms if that feels right for you.

Approach & Experience

At Home Within is a six week program. Each week begins with a 1:1 video call via Google Meet, where we work from the theme of that week. During these sessions, there’s space to share your story, ask questions and reflect together.

After each session, you’ll receive a document with background information and exercises that invite you to look at yourself with honesty, gentleness and curiosity. Through reflective and creative writing excercises, you’ll explore who you are, what you feel, what you believe in, and where you want to go. The main focus is on writing, but there’s also room for other creative forms if that fits you! Before our next session, you’ll send your work back to me so I can take them with me into our next call. This structure offers holding but also leaves enough space to move flexibly with your process and needs!

I believe that true change begins with softness. Not by being hard on yourself or by forcing things, but by slowing down, feeling, and learning to welcome yourself with openness and honesty. From that loving foundation, space arises to take responsibility, make choices, set boundaries and stand for who you are. Not because you have to, but because you start to feel that you're worthy of caring for yourself! That’s what I believe creates real valuable movement: coming from connection with yourself and not from pressure or a sense of not being good enough.

My way of working is calm, attentive and tuned into you. I offer structure and guidance, but always with space for your rhythm. I listen with care, ask questions that invite you to go deeper and create a safe space where nothing is too much and everything is welcome. I'm here to help you come home to who you already are at your core. I want to help you see it, name it, feel it and grow into it!

I deeply believe that vulnerability is a strength. Acknowledging your tender spots shows that you're alive. It makes you real, it makes you human. Vulnerability is honesty. It means you no longer have to hide. You’re willing to face what’s truly there, even when it feels scary or uncomfortable. When you're honest with yourself, something softens. You no longer have to pretend or perform. I believe that’s where self-trust begins: in allowing yourself to fully welcome who you are and then choose from there what you want to stand for embody! In this coaching journey, we use writing to meet that vulnerability - to give words to what may have been hidden, silenced or pushed aside. Writing helps you slow down, bring clarity and gently move closer to yourself. And even though the things that arise can be tough, this process can be fun too! I find it important that there is room for play, curiosity, humor and lightness as well!

My way of working comes from both experience and education. In my teenage and early adult years, I often felt insecure. I doubted myself a lot and looked for external validation to feel okay. Writing became (and still is) a supportive outlet for me. It helps me explore, understand and trust myself more deeply and to better feel what I want, need, and how to live more from trust rather than fear! After taking several creative writing courses, I followed a course in therapeutic writing. With the experience and knowledge I’ve gathered over the past years, I developed this program.

I would love to support you in creating a more loving, solid and confident inner home so that from there you feel more freedom to BE!

Structure

  • We land in the here and now. What does safety mean to you? What do you need to feel present in your body and your life? We explore how to truly feel and meet yourself and create a foundation of calm.

  • Your inner world as a house full of rooms. Which parts live inside you? What stories do you tell yourself and what beliefs shape the way you live? This week, you'll write about who you are, what you believe, and which inner voices guide you or sometimes hold you back.

  • You’ll learn to recognize your intuition more clearly. We’ll practice expression, visibility and trusting your own voice!

  • How do you take care of yourself - mentally, physically, emotionally? How do you relate to yourself and how could this be guided by even more love and trust?

  • How do you stay connected to others without losing yourself? We explore your patterns in relationships, how you give and receive and where your strengths and boundaries lie!

  • We reflect on your journey and everything you’ve harvested. Where are you now, and where do you want to go? You create space for integration and forward movement, ending with a personal document that holds all your insights!

In At Home Within, I work with a combination of creative and therapeutic writing.

Creative writing, for me, is about the joy of choosing words, letting sentences flow, and bringing images to life. You don’t write because it has to be perfect or beautiful, but because it feels good to express something in your own way. Maybe you capture a feeling in a metaphor, write down a memory, or let creativity flow by inventing something new. Sometimes you discover something that moves you from within and sometimes you don’t. That’s okay too.

Therapeutic writing is writing as a form of self-exploration. You use words to slow down, to feel and perhaps to process what’s going on within. It’s not about figuring everything out, but by being honest on the page, you can come closer to your feelings and begin to acknowledge them. That in itself can already create space, clarity and relief. Research (including by psychologist James Pennebaker) has shown that regularly writing about your emotions can lead to less stress, better emotional regulation and more inner calm!

These two forms often naturally flow into one another. Because writing from emotion almost always becomes a little creative, and creative writing often can touch something deep and valuable within you.
